Lists of Best Workplaces

The annual Great Place to Work® list of the Best Workplaces in the UK was first produced in 2001 using the same methodology as that developed by the Great Place to Work® Institute in the USA. The UK and EU Best Workplaces lists are published in the UK by the Financial Times.

Each year, the Great Place to Work® Institute helps produce annual "Lists of Best Workplaces" in 30 countries around the world.

Each list highlights companies with the best workplaces in a specific country or region of the world, using the same methodology as we developed in the U.S. - in which we survey employees about the level of trust and quality of relationships that exist between themselves and management.

Based on national lists of Best Workplaces in the European countries, Great Place to Work® Institute Europe has launched an annual competition to select the list of "100 Best Workplaces in Europe ." The first "100 Best" list was announced in 2003 and involved all EU member states, however prior to this, the Institute had conducted surveys in several European countries, including Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal and the UK.

Outside Europe, the Institute conducts Best Workplace competitions in a number of countries, including the United States, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, India and Korea, with many more to come.

To find out more about the Best Workplaces in the UK contact us and send us your information - we'll make sure to be in touch with you as the list development process begins in the UK.

"The company operates as a team in the sense that everyone is made to feel they have an important role in completing an assignment (from the junior staff to the senior management). I feel a sense of pride and accomplishment telling people who I work for -- my company looks after its people and treats us like a family."
